Things Forgotten

Jeannie Eddy

Jeannie Eddy is a Missouri writer who lives with a houseful of chaos and evil dust bunnies.

J N THE DARKNESS, movement
A slither of sinew beneath skin
The rasp of nails on concrete

              In the moonlight, stillness
              Light touching lost memories
              Air breathing across faint soul

              In the shadows, forgetfulness
              A whisper of sound forgotten
              A thing forever dark

              Things forgotten, things remembered
Fear that claws through mists of dreams
              Will morning rescue the dreamer?
